How to drag and drop files by using FTP?
If you have the ftp address, user name and password, you are all ready for ftp.
An FTP address looks a lot like an HTTP, or Website, address except it uses
the prefix ftp:// instead of http://. Example FTP site address: ftp://ftp.filternox.com
Windows Explorer is the tool you use when you open My Computer or My Network Places. Windows Explorer is tightly integrated with Internet Explorer and the transition from a local location is often seamless with a network location.
Step 1: Now to type in the address of the FTP server. We are using FTP instead of HTTP, so you will need to type in ftp://nameofserver

type full ftp address and hit enter.
Step 2: It will open a new small window.
Step 3: Type your password and user name correctly. Make sure you type password correctly.
Then click on logon. If you make a mistake 530 error will show up at the screen and says: 530 Login incorrect.
Step 4: When you are logged in, you can drag and drop the files.
Position your FTP window and a Windows Explorer window side-by-side to do a drag-and-drop copy of your files.
Copying files the other direction works the same way. Just drag the file from your Windows Explorer window to the FTP window.

To access FTP sites directly In the Address bar, type the Internet address (URL) for the FTP site you want to connect to. For example: ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/ Do one or more of the following: To download a file or folder, right-click the item on the page, and then click Copy to Folder. To log on as a different user to this FTP site, on the File menu, click Login As. To rename or delete items in an FTP folder, or paste items into an FTP site (upload), you can use the same commands and actions you use with Windows Explorer or My Computer.
On this FTP site, you can view, upload or download files. Only the people who run or own the site can rename, delete, or upload big files.
