THE WORLD IS SOUNDING THE ALARM ON WATER SCARCITY!
With population growth and industrial development, the increase in water usage has become a major problem. Due to the water scarcity that will arise in the future, people are seeking alternative sources for irrigation.
So how will municipalities—especially those in the Middle East—continue to irrigate green spaces? How will new green spaces be created? How will we preserve recreational areas?
By reusing wastewater! Especially in the Middle East, treated wastewater has begun to be used as a new water source for landscaping applications. The water needed for landscaping is met through wastewater reclamation. For this reason, filtration and disinfection at treatment plants have become increasingly important.
That’s where Filternox® comes in to support you.
Why Filternox?
As Filternox®, we’ve participated in numerous landscaping and irrigation projects worldwide, and we’ve completed many filtration applications, particularly in the United Arab Emirates. Filternox® has developed the high-tech SPT-WBV-MR filter model, capable of operating under high pollution loads.
The patented SPT-WBV-MR filter model offers numerous advantages for municipalities;
- Our clog-resistant filter reduces maintenance requirements in your irrigation system
- Reduced clogging in your irrigation system leads to savings on maintenance and labor costs
- Low surface area requirement thanks to its compact design, even in high-flow systems
- Easy installation, either horizontally or vertically
- Low installation cost
- Minimal pressure drop thanks to its special design
- Thanks to its simple design, it requires at least 50% fewer parts (spare parts and consumables) compared to older-technology filters
- Control of all operations via the control panel
- Optional remote monitoring and operation
- Adjustable timing and backwash speed to minimize the amount of drain water
One of the most important features of the Filternox® filter is that it does not clog. To test this feature, our filter—which features a dual-action cleaning system—was tested in the Netherlands using the “Shanghai Test.” During this test, our filter—which has a 20-micron filtration rating—filtered synthetic sludge containing 2,000 ppm (suspended solids) and operated without any issues.
To reduce your maintenance costs and increase the efficiency of your irrigation systems, we invite municipal maintenance managers, consultants, and contractors to contact our company. We are ready to provide you with a custom design at no charge.
The photos below show the difference before and after the installation of the Filternox filter. In this application, the irrigation system was improved, and the amount of green space increased noticeably.
